FAMILY TRADITIONS PASSED TO THE NEXT GENERATION

The Condo in Sunriver has been a cherished gathering place for the Cockram Family for over 40 years. Our parents, Freeman and Shirley Cockram, purchased it in the 1980s, and we affectionately named it “Camp Cockram.” Today, we’re proud to be owner-managed and excited to host you. Our goal is to provide a warm, welcoming space where you can create your own meaningful memories and traditions—just as we have—while keeping our nightly rate affordable. (Taxes and resort fees are included.)

Growing up, we were the camping, camper van, and sailing family. Summers were filled with backpacking, boating, and exploring, while winters meant skiing. Our dad even converted an old bread truck into a camper van—nicknamed the “White Elephant”—so his girls could travel the Pacific Northwest in comfort, no matter the weather. Skiing out of the White Elephant during the snowy season was a favorite tradition. Freeman was truly ahead of his time.

After we graduated college, Mom and Dad found their perfect second home in Sunriver. With Mom raised near Madras and Dad in Baker, settling east of the Cascades just felt right. It quickly became the ideal place for enjoying time with family and friends—skiing, biking, swimming, hiking, and taking in all that Central Oregon has to offer.

Camp Cockram is beautiful year-round—perfect for family reunions, special celebrations, quiet getaways, or starting your own new traditions. We can’t wait to welcome you.

Safe travels and happy adventures,

YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME

You wake up to the smell of coffee after a wonderful night's sleep. It's your first full day in Sunriver, and you're ready for the day. Pouring the coffee into your mug, you thank the first one up for making it and walk over to the window. The grass that surrounds the condo is damp with dew, and the glow of the sun is just starting to peek through the trees. The sky is a gradient of lavender and peach along the mountains. You notice off in the distance a couple of deer grazing on the golf course. You grab a book and a blanket and eagerly sit out on the deck and watch the world wake up.

It's mid-afternoon, and the kids have been begging all day to go swimming. Now that everyone is ready for the water, take the short walk to the community park and aquatic center. The sun is high in the sky and feels so warm on your face. You can hear other kids laughing in the distance from the rock walls and playground. You finish your walk to the SHARC and get in line for a big slide. This is going to be a lot of fun!

It's 6 pm and the BBQ and full kitchen are ready for you to create the perfect family meal to eat on the deck or in the AC comfort of the condo. It’s a pleasant walk to the village for dessert at Goody’s. Be sure to take a flashlight if you are out after dark. Don’t forget to look at the stars before you go to bed and enjoy a quiet night’s sleep.
